# [Thank you to all our Vets! - Comprehensive Guide](https://gainesville.giaspace.com/blog/thank-you-to-all-our-vets)

My Grandfather served in the Korean War.

My Uncle Peter died at 18 in Vietnam.

My Uncle Mickey was held as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

Enlisting on your own or following the family path is the most unselfish act anyone can do.  You are being dropped where hopefully the country needs you the most and I cannot imagine how that must feel.  I have worked with DOD contractors that served,  and was able to hear stories that would never make it to the media.

Thank you for all you did and do for us to have the lifestyle we are accustomed to.
