500 Million PCs at Risk!

The Countdown to Windows 10 EOL Has Begun

Support Ends in October, and a massive cybersecurity risk begins. Are you Ready?

Have you upgraded to Windows 11 yet? Time is running out.

On October 14, 2025, Microsoft will officially end support for Windows 10.
Meaning no more security updates, patches, bug fixes, or technical assistance.

As of today, more than 500 million PCs worldwide are still running Windows 10.
That makes this the largest end-of-life event for an operating system in history, and the most dangerous.
Don’t put your business at risk or wait until the last minute!

If your business hasn’t made a plan to upgrade to Windows 11 yet, do it now.
Here’s what you need to know, and what to do before the clock hits zero.

Windows 10 End of Life

End of Life (EOL) means that Microsoft will permanently stop releasing updates or providing support for Windows 10. This includes:

  • Security patches
  • Bug fixes
  • Compatibility updates
  • Performance improvements
  • Technical support

Any PC still running Windows 10 after October 14, 2025, will be:

  • Vulnerable to new cyberattacks
  • Incompatible with future software and drivers
  • Unsupported by Microsoft and most third-party vendors

This EOL is the Biggest in History

Other operating systems have reached end of life before, Windows 7, XP, Vista, but none have had this kind of scale.

According to StatCounter, as of mid-2025:

  • More than 60% of Windows users are still on Windows 10
  • Many businesses haven't yet audited their hardware for upgrade readiness
  • Most users still don’t know about the October deadline—or how it affects them

That creates the perfect storm: hundreds of millions of unsupported PCs vulnerable to attack overnight.

What Happens If You Stay on Windows 10?

If your business continues using Windows 10 after the EOL date, you’re at serious risk for:

  • Cyberattacks – Exploits targeting unpatched systems (as we saw with the WannaCry ransomware attack that hit unprotected Windows 7 users in 2017)
  • Compliance violations – Especially for regulated industries like finance, healthcare, and legal
  • Incompatibility – With new applications, drivers, and business software
  • Productivity slowdowns – As system performance declines and vendor support disappears

You’ll also face rising costs for emergency support or “extended” security updates—if they’re even available.

GiaSpace Advice: Don’t Wait. Act Now

Most Windows 10 machines aren’t built to run Windows 11 without hardware upgrades or replacements. That’s why it’s essential to start planning now.

At GiaSpace, we recommend businesses:

  1. Inventory all systems currently running Windows 10
  2. Evaluate hardware compatibility (We’ll help—don’t rely on Microsoft’s minimum specs)
  3. Plan your upgrade strategy—replace, upgrade, or virtualize
  4. Test business-critical apps in Windows 11 environments
  5. Schedule the migration with minimal user disruption

This isn’t just an IT task—it’s a business continuity priority.

Let Us Handle the Heavy Lifting

GiaSpace has helped dozens of Florida businesses assess, plan, and execute their upgrade strategy. Whether you need:

  • A full hardware audit
  • Advice on what to upgrade vs. replace
